Dear Scientists of the International Astronomical Union:
No one likes a puppy killer.
As a child in school, I was taught a very important mnemonic device to learn the order of the planets. Now, since the decision that Pluto is NOT a planet, said mnemonic device goes like this:
My Very Extraordinary Mother Just Sent Us Nine.
NO MORE PUPPIES.
I hope you're happy.
Wikipedia lists ideas for non-pluto mnemonics here. It's not the same.
Apparently, this has happened before. Ceres used to be a planet but got demoted (I wonder what mnemonics were used with Ceres and how people coped with its disappearance). What's next? Earth?
Think about what you are unleashing here, oh scientists of the International Astronomical Union.
Also, I bet you're all geeks.
Geeks and Puppy Killers.
