I am so incredibly sad over our discussion in class today. We decided that Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer were destined to grow up to fight on opposite sides of the Civil War. How sad is that?

Sad in a totally different way: today I got extremely excited that I found a Broadview publication of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Because Broadview is the best. They include all sorts of junk on the reception history. Wheee!
